I travel the road set before me

my college student

I think back to where I was September 1990, after I graduated High School. I had just found out I was pregnant with Alyssa.

Rick and I were eighteen, and besides wanting a family, we didn't know much how to do it!

Now our daughter is eighteen. She is a full time college student, doing volunteer work all over our city and county. She worked full time in a Help Desk environment over the summer, and received praise for her work ethic and performance.

When she has free time, she drives to Des Plaines to help my seventy-one year mother with whatever she can help with. She drives grandma to the store, helps out with the chores. Just yesterday after class, she went to my niece, her cousin's open house, because my brother was unable to attend. She went to all of her classes to gather information on the cirriculum.

I know she is going to be embarrassed to read this. But truly, I could not be more proud. She has a giving, selfless soul who thinks of others first.

Blessed for the holiday weekend! I hope you all are too!

Wings of Courage

The wings of courage and enthusiasm enable one to fly forward.

While moving forward we sometimes find ourselves in a position where there seems to be no progress.

We don't seem to understand the reason for this and we find success eluding us.

We try different methods for success but if we look within we find that either we have no courage or no enthusiasm, which prevents us from giving our best to the task.

We need to have both the wings of courage and enthusiasm in order to succeed. If there is no courage we give up trying. On the other hand, if there is no enthusiasm we get tired and tiredness never lets us work towards success.

So before we take up any task we should make sure we fill both these wings with such power that we will be able to work constantly till we succeed.

Sometimes a person can take on fears from other peoples energies.

Have owned someone's trauma?

Specifically ask your higher self where in your body you are holding the feat, and you may find the locked in energy accessible to heal.

When one finds some sort of fearful thought, it may be well worthwhile for you to stop and consider if you didn't pick up the thought from someone else around your energy.

Change is gonna come

When we are faced with any weakness of ours, we usually think about it so much that it is totally blown out of proportion and it seems bigger than it actually is. This leads to negative thinking, which in turn doesn't let us work on improving ourselves. Some will then just remain the way they are, not being able to bring about progress or change.

What we need to do in order to win over our weakness is to change our focus. Instead of thinking about the weakness, we only need to think, "I am not where I want to be yet, but I am working towards it and I am slowly improving." Change will come with positive affirmations rather than complaints.

When I need to fall apart

We don't always have to be strong to be strong.

Sometimes our strength is expressed in being vulnerable.

Sometimes we need to fall apart to regroup and stay on track.

We all have days when we cannot push any harder, cannot hold back self-doubt, cannot stop focusing on fear, cannot be strong.

There are days when we cannot focus on being responsible.

Occasionally, we don't want to get out of our pajamas.

Sometimes we cry in front of people, we expose our tiredness, irritability, or anger.

Those days are okay. They are just okay.

Part of taking care of ourselves means we give ourselves permission to "fall apart" when we need to.

We do not need to be perpetual towers of strength.

We ARE strong. We have proven that.

Our strength will continue if we allow ourselves the courage to feel scared, weak, and vulnerable when we need to experience those feelings.

Today, help me to know that is it okay to allow myself to be human.
Help me not to feel guilty or punish myself when I need to "fall apart."

Does it seems difficult to give from whatever resources you have?

The thought often arises in the mind that we cannot give because we feel we don't have enough, that are ourselves not complete or full. We find ourselves constantly trying to fill ourselves and we then have no time or thought for giving to those around us.

We have a lot of treasures within us which we can give to those around us, our virtues, our love. Even if we have just a little and give to others, we will find ourselves benefitting. For having given from whatever we have, we find that
these treasures begin to increase within ourselves too.

You let go of negative emotional baggage you have been carrying. Only then will you be able to deal with your life in a realistic and positive manner.

The resolution of feelings from the past so that you can face the present with a less obstructed view.

Are you ready to let go?

Spiritual maturity lies in the readiness to let go of everything.

Giving up is the first step. But the real giving up is in realizing that there is nothing to give up, for nothing is your own.

I have to let go of being judgmental of how other people walk in their journey. Sharing light does not mean shoving people towards my path. It should not matter if I am watching them take a wrong turn. How will they ever learn if they don't have missteps?

On the way home, bright and sunny day. I saw two rainbows create a circle around the sun. This was the best picture I could get, and this is at 50% so you can see both sides. If anyone wants the original, I will email. It was amazing. I read more about it. It is called a Solar Halo.

Solar Halos are produced when sunlight passes through a thin veil of cirrus clouds (clouds that are composed of ice crystals).

The colors of such halos are often dim, but they can be vivid when the atmosphere is exceptionally clean. A full spectrum of colors is visible in those instances, with the colors ranging from red to blue. Most halos form in a 22-degree ring around the sun, and fainter versions, usually whitish, also occur around the moon.

In weather folklore, halos are said to foretell precipitation because a veil
of cirrus is often the precursor to approaching storms.

The solar halo in the Siliguri sky on Wednesday. Picture by Kundan Yolmo Siliguri, Sept. 10 2008: A halo around the sun seen from Siliguri this morning triggered curiosity as well as rumours as it coincided with the start of the Big Bang experiment in Geneva.

When the aura around the sun became visible around 11.30am, the people of the town started making calls to their near and dear ones, trying to gauge what exactly the phenomenon was.

"I was amazed to see a light around the sun when I went to the terrace to lay some clothes. I hadn't seen such a scene before. Soon, I received a call from my friend who wanted to share the excitement of having witnessed the rare phenomenon," said Proloy Choudhury, a college student.

The experts said it was an optical astronomical phenomenon generally not seen in city skies.

"We have seen the picture of the sun in the Siliguri sky today and feel that it was probably a solar halo. Such auras are created mostly when sunlight is refracted through ice crystals formed in cirrus or cirrostratus clouds moving at an altitude of 5-10km in the upper troposphere," Sanjib Sen, the director of the Positional Astronomy Centre in Calcutta, said over the phone from Calcutta.

"A particular shape and orientation of the crystals are responsible for the formation of the halo. There will be different colours when the light refracted by the crystals is split," Sen added.

Debasis Sarkar, the secretary of the Sky Watchers' Association of North Bengal, said such halos were not commonly seen in cities because of high accumulation of dust and smog in the sky.

"The ice crystals are usually hexagonal in shape which refract the light. The halos are seen in full circular shape and of lesser diameter than a rainbow," said Sarkar.

He added that the halo might have been formed in the Siliguri sky because of heavy rain early in the morning and bright sunshine afterwards with very little air movement.

Ruma Bhattacharya, a housewife, said: "I was already tense after I heard that the Geneva experiment would be the end of the world. The aura around the sun only added my fears."

The test in Geneva, which started today, will see two beams of protons zipping in opposite directions at more than nine-tenths the speed of light collide inside a tunnel. The test kicks off a fresh search for an elusive piece of a decades-old physics puzzle by mimicking conditions a whisker of time after the birth of the universe.

The Footsteps of Isolation

The footsteps of Isolation® - Kimmy

Six months had passed since I left. Still, so sign of acceptable
social acheivement. Refusing to answer the phone, doorbell, emails.
Intimidated to go out, not wanting to deal with any crowd, noise, and
looks.

Hoping my wish of being a wallflower blending with the crowd,
would finally run its course.

Sometimes I think the leave of absence caused more damage than good.

I attempted to get a regular job. Monday through Friday. And although unknown in this realm, I still am noticed, not being able to escape the limelight.

Have you ever wished you could just blend in? Have you watched people that will go unnoticed? What talent do they have to live life, and never be in the center of chaos?

Is there any hope to stray away from the path of isolation, I don’t know. This walk I take is the only way now. Other avenues will only make immediate matters worse.

The only escape is a fantasy world. Like in Tolkien’s world of Middle Earth. There we all have a level of respect, but one is no greater han another. All is and shall be created equal.
