Kimmy is paying attention to the moment

Posted on Nov 1st, 2009 by abutterflyloves : lightworker abutterflyloves
THERE IS NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT

Mark Twain said, “I have been through some terrible things in my life, some of which actually happened.”

These words hold great wisdom; the wisdom of knowing that there is no sense worrying about the past or fearing the future.

Your past will not change, and your future concerns may never come. No reason to be turning things over in your mind again and again. A little reflection is a good thing. Remember, how, exactly, does one live in the moment?

Surround yourself with people who make you feel good about yourself!

Alyssa, the college student extraordinaire

Posted on Sep 4th, 2009 by abutterflyloves : lightworker abutterflyloves
my college student

I think back to where I was September 1990, after I graduated High School.  I had just found out I was pregnant with Alyssa.

Rick and I were eighteen, and besides wanting a family, we didn't know much how to do it!

Now our daughter is eighteen. She is a full time college student, doing volunteer work all over our city and county. She worked full time in a Help Desk environment over the summer, and received praise for her work ethic and performance.

When she has free time, she drives to Des Plaines to help my seventy-one year mother with whatever she can help with. She drives grandma to the store, helps out with the chores.  Just yesterday after class, she went to my niece, her cousin's open house, because my brother was unable to attend. She went to all of her classes to gather information on the cirriculum.

I know she is going to be embarrassed to read this.  But truly, I could not be more proud.  She has a giving, selfless soul who thinks of others first.

Blessed for the holiday weekend! I hope you all are too!

Happy Labor Day!!

A Butterfly Loves

Bring on the Butterfly Effect

My eyes open upon a beautiful day;
Full of hope, memories and desire.
You are in my arms holding my soul.
Enticing me into the fire;
And for moments so true, I am whole.

I love you with a passion; I knew not I owned.
With each minute that drifts;

I love thee as a butterfly loves

The wind beneath its wings;
as the sunshine owns the day.

Together we belong,
within each others love.

My soul seeks,
with eyes ever seeing.

Wings of Courage

Jennea Denner

The wings of courage and enthusiasm enable one to fly forward.

While moving forward we sometimes find ourselves in a position where there seems to be no progress.

We don't seem to understand the reason for this and we find success eluding us.

We try different methods for success but if we look within we find that either we have no courage or no enthusiasm, which prevents us from giving our best to the task.

We need to have both the wings of courage and enthusiasm in order to succeed. If there is no courage we give up trying. On the other hand, if there is no enthusiasm we get tired and tiredness never lets us work towards success.

So before we take up any task we should make sure we fill both these wings with such power that we will be able to work constantly till we succeed.

Ignite the Light

Posted on Aug 6th, 2009 by abutterflyloves : lightworker abutterflyloves
Ignite the light

In the darkness of ignorance, comes a light… a spark… a powerful spark… that ignites the light of all the souls.

This is the time of the birth of a new power, the time for transformation, the time for offering one’s own weaknesses and finishing them so that what remains is only that which is new, beautiful and powerful. It is time for bringing light into the time when there is darkness.

Because of You

Posted on Jul 18th, 2009 by abutterflyloves : lightworker abutterflyloves
Because of You

I was self sufficient,
gratified by my independence,
alone, but not lonely,
I thought.

But I was restless,
searching blindly for something
to fill an empty place
I didn't even know I had,
dimly aware
that I was somehow unfinished.

Then you came,
and filled everything,
every space, every need,
even secret dreams
I had concealed from myself.

I was self sufficient,
and restless;
Now I am profoundly peaceful
and complete,
because of you.

Trauma

Posted on Jul 12th, 2009 by abutterflyloves : lightworker abutterflyloves
fear

Sometimes a person can take on fears from other peoples energies.

Have owned someone's trauma?

Specifically ask your higher self where in your body you are holding the feat, and you may find the locked in energy accessible to heal.

When one finds some sort of fearful thought, it may be well worthwhile for you to stop and consider if you didn't pick up the thought from someone else around your energy.

Blessing the fear with light, love; darkness with light.

Change is gonna come

Posted on Jun 28th, 2009 by abutterflyloves : lightworker abutterflyloves

When we are faced with any weakness of ours, we usually think about it so much that it is totally blown out of proportion and it seems bigger than it actually is. This leads to negative thinking, which in turn doesn't let us work on improving ourselves. Some will then just remain the way they are, not being able to bring about progress or change.

What we need to do in order to win over our weakness is to change our focus. Instead of thinking about the weakness, we only need to think, "I am not where I want to be yet, but I am working towards it and I am slowly improving." Change will come with positive affirmations rather than complaints.

Nothing that has passed can be regained

Posted on May 23rd, 2009 by abutterflyloves : lightworker abutterflyloves
All that I possess and use

Is like the fleeting vision of a dream.

It fades into the realms of memory;
And fading, will be seen no more.

Nothing that has passed can be regained.
